Hi,
I like *Programming Pearls by Jon
Bentley*<http://www.cs.bell-labs.com/cm/cs/pearls/>,
and More Programming Pearls, by the same author.  [I have to admit I enjoyed
the second one more than the first- but it is out of print]

I'd think you should get a second opinion from one of the educators on the
list - because I'm not an educator and not necessarilly a good judge of
these things.
