Hi,
I like Programming Pearls by Jon Bentley, and More Programming Pearls, by the same author. [I have to admit I enjoyed the second one more than the first- but it is out of print]

I'd think you should get a second opinion from one of the educators on the list - because I'm not an educator and not necessarilly a good judge of these things.

Stephen

On Tue, May 12, 2009 at 10:19 AM, Paulo J.
I am trying to compile a list of books that you would give someone
that wishes to learn [not a specific language] but how to design good
software. I have HTDP in my hands and on the list but would like to
know more. Any suggestions?
Cheers,
