mod_rewrite is another possible solution with Apache, but if your outputs
contain links that need to be rewritten (i.e. removing prefixes such as
/servlets/), than you probably need more than just mod_rewrite.

I do not have experience with native PLT HTTPS - Jay and others would have
to chime in.  I think a good part depends on what you are familiar with, and
at this point I am still more familiar with configuring Apache :)  YMMV.
