I made a mistake, when I say "it converts the line endings to Unix" it should read "it converts the line endings to Windows", because I'd prefer it to preserve whatever style the file has. And DrScheme on Windows always converts to CR+LF. But you're right, Notepad++ and even Notepad 2 can change line endings easily. Thanks your help.
