[plt-scheme] Programming without Objects

Instead of asking how to translate a Java program into Scheme, why
don't you do what you said you want to do -- undertake "a major shift
in thinking" -- by telling us what program you want to write in the
first place, and see how Schemers would do it?

[Note that that isn't what you already told us.  You told us how you
would write the program you have in mind, not the problem behind the
solution.]
