[plt-scheme] compltions in DrScheme (finally...)

Nothing happens when I type "char" then press ctrl-/ or select
Edit->Complete Word. I've tried in Textual and HtDP Beginner, on both
Debian and Gentoo systems.

Am I missing something obvious?
