[plt-scheme] Examples using date?

It's a general problem that the documentation is far more a reference
than a tutorial.  So far no-one has stepped forth to write a tutorial
introduction to PLT Scheme, though How To Use Scheme and the Scheme
Cookbook are partial attempts at solutions.
