Yes, but not because of functionality -- only because of the annoying conflict.

The SRFI-1 versions aren't really incompatible with R5RS, they're
strict extensions.

I'm not that "unhappy" either, I just wanted to "defend" my suggestion
in the current discussion...

And, again, same would apply to SRFI-43 (vector-lib).
