I suspect you would derive a new control overriding the paint method to
render the table yourself using the MrEd drawing tool box.

I recall a mention of a grid control in the old PLT Scheme add ons list. I
doubt it would work on v300 but you could use it has a starting point. I
think that page has been removed from the site but there might be an archive
somewhere.
