Hi all,

Everyone on this list has been touched, directly or indirectly, by
Matthias Felleisen's intellectual leadership: from his books to his
software to his overarching vision and singular execution, as well as
his demand that the rest of us live up to his extraordinary standards.

Every year the ACM (the professional organization for computing) gives
an award, the Karl Karlstrom Award, to a distinguished educator.  This
is one of the ten or so highest honors in the discipline.

It is my singular pleasure to inform you that this year's winner of
the Karlstrom Award is Matthias Felleisen.
