i realize that one person's embedded system is another person's
desktop pc, but also check out bigloo and gambit, which have been seen
running on 'constrained' devices. (i get the impression their
community is a little more alive than pre-scheme's, but i could be of
course horribly wrong about pre-scheme's stasis.)
