I think you are confusing adoption with readiness.  My company is
happy using Scheme to build commercial applications.  You may still
find it too risky to do so.  But your unwillingness to adopt Scheme
does not mean that Scheme is not ready to be used in "non-research,
non-study, non-game applications"
