[plt-scheme] why does killing a window makes interactions unresponsive

Hi,

when I kill a window of a module I am working on I get the following message
(pop-up)

The evaluation thread is no longer running, so no evaluation can take place
> until the next execution.
>
> Exited successfully.
>

Why is the interactions window is disabled if I do this?
