That's what I suspect too, but I'm a drscheme beginner, so I'm not too sure 
where to start searching.

The ./configure line looks like this:
./configure --build=i586-mandriva-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr --bindir=/usr/bin --sbindir=/usr/sbin --sysconfdir=/etc --datadir=/usr/share --includedir=/usr/include --libdir=/usr/lib --libexecdir=/usr/lib --localstatedir=/var/lib --sharedstatedir=/usr/com --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --enable-shared 'CFLAGS=-O2 -g -pipe -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fexceptions -fomit-frame-pointer -march=i586 -mtune=generic -fasynchronous-unwind-tables -DDONT_INLINE_NZERO_TEST'

Two patches are also applied, which can be found here:

Maybe you could review them, and include them if they are useful. Or we should 
drop or fix them if they cause this problem :-)
