I'm happy to report that Ventura, California seems
to be bucking this trend.

A couple of years ago I was browsing the bookshelves
and ran across a copy of "The Seasoned Schemer",
which I immediately bought just to reward the
bookstore for carrying something besides C# and
Java titles (plus, I had never read it).

Recently, I noticed there was another copy of TSS
on the shelf (!!!), plus a copy of "Paradigms of
Artificial Intelligence Programming".
