[plt-scheme] TeX expressions in Slideshow

Can anyone give me a quick example of how to imbed a
LaTex equation in a slide? 

For some reason the Slideshow module does not
recognize the (tex ...) command which should produce a
pict structure according to the texpict.ss module.
