[plt-scheme] SrPersist + Oracle 8i + Win200, anyone?

I know, I know ... :-)

Anyway, for twisted reasons, I need to get the above combination to
work.  The problem is that the Oracle ODBC driver always gives
"invalid length" errors, pretty much no matter what I do, and using
the Microsoft one crashes Win2000 after 2 or 3 interactions.

Has anyone gotten this or some similar setup to work, or has any
advice on which ODBC driver to use?  Any help would be much
appreciated.
