[plt-scheme] .plt documents show up as Excel files in Mac OS X

I'm using DrScheme 203 under Mac OS X 10.2.3. I wonder why Apple have 
started to use file extensions again? I'm sure that I've read much 
impassioned debate on the topic!

One of the consequences of this decision (I think) is that .plt files 
come up as "Microsoft Excel binary document" with the expected Excel 
icon.

running ./plt-setup works fine, of course

Is there anything I can do about this? (Talk about leaving yourself 
wide open !  :)
