[plt-dev] slideshow, X Windows, and multiple monitors

I recently acquired a second monitor, and now Slideshow attempts to
display everything centered between the two monitors, which isn't
really what I want.  DrScheme itself is able to maximize properly on
only one monitor, although it displays the splash screen pretty close
to the center. This is on Ubuntu 9.10.

Unfortunately, this makes it pretty hard to develop my talks at the moment.
