BTW, just to be clear: McFly Tools already gets the info it needs from 
the PLaneT server.  I have no immediate need for any new Web service 
from the PLaneT server.

I was trying to point volunteers in a good direction to start with: HTTP 
JSON dump of all metadata solves most problems for both in-browser JS 
code and Racket code.
