Our plan b is to require unit tests and code reviews and use that as
an "ice breaker" for talking about how programs work and how languages
work and anything else that makes sense.

As for a plan C curriculum, there is none. HtDP was our plan B. I am
going to pay attention as to the results of our short-term approach
and try to see what I am missing.
