You are right of course. Gtk however is quite mainstream, there are
a lot of Gtk bindings out there and Gtk as a widget set is under constant
development, i.e. there's a team of widget set specialists working on
the widget set. That was what I meant by 'solid widget base'. And, indeed,
it has a lot of features and is constantly getting more.
