[plt-scheme] asychronous and continuations

Hi all,

I was just reading about twisted (an asynchronous framework for python)
and the more I have been reading the more I started to wonder if the
whole asynchronous idea is similar to call with current continuation
sort of thing.

Could anyone sort me out on this?  I notice that twisted is being used
for web serving etc. which is what got me wondering.
