I don't have to much to say on the subject that is specific
to PLT Scheme.  CVS sucks in various ways but it sucks
equally across all development environments.  One nice
thing is that pack.ss (used to build packages for
distribution) ignores CVS directories IIRC.

There are four things that Schematics offers:

  - Code distribution

  - Developer community

  - Visibility for work in progress

  - Development tools & sys admin

The first two are so important (Planet does the first, this
mailing list the second).  I believe the other 2 are still
relevant.  Something that did a better job than Sourceforge
for these would be good.
