Dominique,

This sounds pretty interesting!  Two comments:

On the other hand, by default people will report bugs to us, and will
expect support from us for code we are no longer maintaining or
(perhaps even) distibuting.  Therefore, you will need to make clear
the tech support arrangement for your code to your users, and in
particular, that any improvements to PLT (which happen nearly
continuously) do not automatically propagate to your users.

This part is just not true.  This is explicitly why we chose the GNU
LGPL rather than GNU GPL.  Could you perhaps point out what made you
think you need to "have to make those modifications freely
accessible"?

Anyway, since you have forked off from the PLT distribution, I hope
you have done so from v20x rather than v10x!
