What I meant is that in terms of the release there is no issue if it's
all new code since it won't be in.  (Releasing it is obviously not a
good idea...)

[But if your main concern is sharing work, then you can just as well
go with a GH fork, and either make a nice single commit when it's
ready, or push your commits in a single batch.]
